I have come to love these houses that are destined to be demolished, but this one in particular. these photos were taken a couple months apart.

EBDI is building a school in conjunction with Johns Hopkins.  It is for the better, but I am going to be sad when this place goes.  This house has already seen so much sadness but the saddest part is that damn turquoise porch.  That turqoise color amongst so much fire damage, neglet, and at least 30 years of overgrowth just always gets me.  At one time, that house was the happiest place you could be.

hopefully I catch its demolition!

But, if youre in the financial place- rehab, please.  buy old and build green.  I know where you can get $1,000 houses from the city!  your $120k budget can build you a $200+k home… and rebuild a city, kinda.
